The Grandstream GAC2570 is a full-duplex audio conferencing system designed for meeting rooms. It features 12 omnidirectional microphones, a 10-watt speaker, integrated Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth, and a 7” touchscreen. It supports SIP conferencing, wireless microphones, and a wide range of collaboration, network, and management features.
This document provides answers to frequently asked questions about the GAC2570 and its embedded solutions, including the Conference Control application.
General Operation
- This prompt indicates an unsupported display resolution. Adjust the laptop’s display output to a compatible resolution to ensure proper playback or presentation sharing.
- Ensure the HDMI cable is firmly connected to the HDMI IN port on the GAC2570.
- Try switching to a different presentation input method, such as Wi-Fi Display or AirPlay if HDMI-IN continues to fail.
- Restart the presentation by clicking Start again after adjusting the display settings or reconnecting the HDMI cable.
- If multiple devices are connected, verify you selected the correct presentation source (e.g., GAC2570-HDMI, HDMI, Wi-Fi display, AirPlay, or shared screen from GVC Device).
Tap the Settings app or swipe down from the top of the home screen and tap the Settings icon.
Yes the GAC2570 supports cascading with up to 2 GMD wireless Microphones with full-band audio pickup.
The GAC2570 is designed for meeting rooms, huddle areas, boardrooms, and other small to medium-sized conferencing spaces, providing a natural and immersive communication experience.
The device supports conferencing for up to 12 attendees, and its wireless design allows ongoing conferences to remain uninterrupted even if the device is moved to another room.
Installation & Hardware
Connect an Ethernet cable from the GAC2570’s RJ45 port to a PoE+ switch or PoE+ injector, then press and hold the Power button for 5 seconds. The device also includes a built-in battery for portable use.
The package includes the GAC2570 main unit, an Ethernet cable, a Micro-USB cable, a Quick Installation Guide, a PoE injector, and an optional two GMD1208 wireless extension microphones.
The GAC2570 includes a Power button, Media port for microphone connections, a PoE+ RJ45 port, an HDMI IN port for presentation sharing via GVC32xx, a USB 2.0 interface for storage devices, a Kensington lock slot, a Micro-USB port for use as a microphone, and a 3.5mm audio output for external speakers.
You can connect via Micro-USB to the GVC32xx or PC or pair via Bluetooth. The GAC2570 allows muting/unmuting and volume control directly from the unit. When using USB with a PC, ensure the GAC2570 is set as the default audio output.
Conference Control
The GAC2570 enables full PTZ (Pan–Tilt–Zoom) control of the GVC3220 camera, including left/right/up/down movement, zoom in/out, manual focus (MF+/MF–), and assisted autofocus (AF).
The Conference Control app lets the GAC2570 act as a remote controller for the GVC3220, providing access to calling, camera control, participant management, scheduling, and SIP/H.323/IPVideoTalk account operations without needing to access the GVC’s configuration panel.
To use the app, the GAC2570 must run firmware 1.0.3.4 or higher, and the GVC3220 must run firmware 1.0.1.41 or higher. Both devices must also be connected via an Ethernet cable between their Media ports.
Once connected, the GAC2570 enters Do Not Disturb (DND) mode automatically to prevent incoming SIP calls from interrupting conferencing operations. DND cannot be disabled while the app is active.
Hosts can initiate audio or video calls, add or remove participants, accept or decline join requests, redial missed participants, place the call on hold, mute/unmute, switch between audio/video, block audio, stop screen sharing, and fully remove participants from the meeting.
Users can create scheduled meetings by setting the subject, start/end time, duration, recurrence, camera preset, optional PIN codes, and member list. Saved meetings appear with statuses such as In Process, Not Started, Be Hosted, or Ended.
Network & Connectivity
Go to Settings → Network → Wi-Fi, turn Wi-Fi on, select a network, and enter the password. You can tap “Refresh” to scan for nearby networks.
Connect via Micro-USB or via Bluetooth, then the user can mute/unmute using the Mute key and adjust speaker volume.
Because the PC uses its default audio output; configure the GAC2570 as the default audio output device.
The GAC2570 supports both IPv4 and IPv6. When both are enabled, it will first attempt to use the preferred protocol and switch to the other if the connection fails.
For IPv4, users can choose DHCP, Static IP, or PPPoE.
For IPv6, users can select Auto-Configured or Static IP. Each mode requires entering the appropriate address, gateway, and DNS information if set to static.
Yes. Users can enable Wi-Fi, select the Wi-Fi band, scan for networks, add networks manually, and use Wi-Fi Direct for peer-to-peer file sharing and device syncing.
Yes. The device supports enabling/disabling OpenVPN®, and it can also work as a portable Wi-Fi hotspot, which allow other devices to connect by using a configured SSID and password.
Calling and Conferences
Tap the participant icon, then tap the remove icon to disconnect that user from the call.
Enter the IP in the format 192*168*1*60, then tap the Call key or press # to send.
From the dial screen, add members by tapping numbers on the left panel, or add members during an active call using Add Member. The GAC2570 supports up to 12-way audio conferencing.
Swipe down the status bar and tap the DND icon to toggle it on or off.
Contacts & Call Management
The local contacts list can store up to 2000 entries.
Go to Contacts → More → Import/Export, choose file format (vCard or XML), and select the file or target directory.
Use Contacts → More → Download Contacts, configure server details, then tap the download icon. The device fetches Phonebook.xml.
Audio & Wireless Microphones
To perform audio calibration on the GAC2570, go to Basic → Sound → Audio Calibration, then tap Start and follow the on-screen instructions. Make sure the room is quiet, as calibration is sensitive to background noise. After tapping Start, the device will wait 3 seconds and then play a high-frequency tone, step back about 1 meter and allow the process to complete.
It is recommended to recalibrate whenever the device is moved to a new room or environment.
To pair GMD1208 microphones with your GAC2570, open the Wireless Microphone app from the desktop or go to Settings → Features → Wireless MIC and enable the feature. Place up to two GMD1208 units within 10 cm of the GAC2570, switch each microphone to wireless mode, and hold the pair button to initiate pairing. The GAC2570 will automatically complete the pairing process and display the connected devices.
If a microphone’s battery level is below 15%, a low-power warning will appear—ensure the GMD1208 units are sufficiently charged for normal operation.
SIP & Call Configuration
The device supports 2 independent SIP accounts configurable on both WebGUI and LCD screen.
Options include NAT NO, STUN, Keep-alive, Auto, and OpenVPN. Default is Auto.
Under Account Settings → RTP Settings, SRTP can be disabled, enabled-not-forced, or enabled-and-forced. AES128/256 key lengths are supported.
To register an account, you must configure the SIP Server, SIP User ID, Authentication ID, and Authentication Password. Optional fields include the Account Name and Display Name used for Caller ID.
Tel URI determines how the device formats E.164 numbers in SIP messages. When enabled, the device uses a “tel:” URI or adds the User=phone parameter. If disabled, the device uses standard SIP formatting with the SIP User ID.
Users can manually add contacts by navigating to Local Contacts → More or by selecting Add to Contacts after dialing a number. Long-pressing a contact opens options to delete it, add it to the blacklist, send it to the desktop, or mark it as a favorite.
Contact groups can be created from Contacts → Group. Contacts may be added to a group either during the group creation process or later by editing the group and tapping Add Contact.
Under Settings → Status → Detection, users can run Microphone Diagnostic and Speaker Diagnostic. The device records audio for microphone testing and plays it back automatically to verify speaker functionality.
Provisioning & Upgrade
The PNP feature allows the GAC2570 to automatically broadcast a SIP SUBSCRIBE message during bootup so that a compatible SIP platform can detect, identify, and provision the device without manual configuration. When enabled, the device sends this PnP discovery message to the network, allowing the SIP server to respond with the appropriate configuration files or automatic SIP account assignment. The default setting is Yes, and a reboot is required for changes to take effect.
Firmware can be upgraded using TFTP, HTTP, HTTPS, or Manual Upload, or via USB drive.
If DHCP options 43, 160, or 66 are enabled, the device automatically resets its CPE, upgrade path, VLAN tags, and configuration server parameters according to the DHCP-provided values. The GAC2570 also supports Option 120 for overriding the SIP server path and Option 242 for Avaya-style provisioning. With PNP Feature enabled (default: Yes), the device sends SIP SUBSCRIBE messages at bootup for automatic discovery, and if 3CX PnP Auto Provision is enabled, it will contact the multicast address to obtain SIP account configuration from a 3CX server.
Yes. If Authenticate Conf File is enabled, the configuration must include P1 (admin password) or it will not apply.
The device supports override using DHCP options 43, 66, 120, 132, 133, and 242 (depending on feature).
The device can be provisioned manually or through the network using TFTP, HTTP, or HTTPS (default: HTTPS). By default, the GAC2570 downloads the first available configuration file in the sequence: cfgMAC → cfgMAC.xml → cfgMODEL.xml → cfg.xml. If “Download and Process All Available Config Files” is enabled, it will download and apply all files in the order cfgMAC → cfg.xml → cfgMODEL.xml → cfgMAC.xml, allowing full override across device-specific, model-specific, and global configurations.
App & Contact Management
Yes. Users can configure LDAP server details, filters, name/number attributes, and maximum search results under LDAP Phonebook.
The GAC2570 allows users to configure the MPK display format as Name, User ID, Name + User ID, or Name, User ID, Key Mode. If “Show Display Name from Server” is enabled, the device will use the server-provided display name instead of the locally configured one.
Programmable Keys support multiple modes including Speed Dial, BLF (Busy Lamp Field), Call Intercom, Speed Dial via Active Account, Dial DTMF, Call Park, Multicast Paging, Dial Prefix, and Speed Conference. Each mode enables a specific action—such as monitoring extension status (BLF), sending multicast pages, dialing preset prefixes, or quickly starting multi-party conferences.
When importing a contact file, users can choose whether to clear the old list, preserve local contacts, or replace duplicate items. Duplicate records can be automatically replaced by name or by number. The phonebook supports multiple encoding formats (e.g., UTF-8, GBK, UTF-16) and imports using XML by default.
The device lists both call recordings and normal recordings with file name, duration, and date. Users can delete, rename, download, or lock recording files directly from the web UI, allowing easy management of stored audio.
The GAC2570 supports a wide range of third-party Android apps through the built-in GS Market. Users can launch GS Market from the device’s onscreen menu to browse, search, download, and install applications such as tools, games, and other compatible apps.
The Recorder app allows unlimited recordings (limited only by storage). Users can record calls or audio clips, mark sections with flags, play recordings, and manage files by exporting, deleting, renaming, locking, or sending via Bluetooth.
Yes. In Recorder → Settings, users can enable a password to protect access to the Recorder app. The password can be set or changed at any time through the same settings menu.
