BASIC OPERATIONS
Turning the handset ON and OFF
To turn ON the handset
- Long press on the Power Key
until the LCD screen lights up.
To turn OFF the handset
- Long press on the Power Key
again when the handset is idle until the display turns off.
Registering DP handset to DP75x base station
- On the DP75x Base station, press and hold the Radio/Page button for about 8 seconds until the radio LED starts blinking; or, access web UI > Status > DECT Status and press the Subscribe button.
- On DP720/DP722/DP725/DP730/DP735 Handset, Press “Menu”.
- Use the arrow keys to reach Settings
> Registration.
- Navigate to Register, then press “Select” while the DP75x Radio icon is blinking.
- Select the corresponding base, and then press “Subscribe”.
- DP handset will display Easy Pairing on the LCD and play an audible buzz when subscribed.
Unregister the DP Handset
- On the DP handset, press “Menu”
.
- Press the arrow keys to move the cursor to Registration.
- Navigate to Deregister.
- Select the Handset to be unregistered and press “Deregister”.
- Enter the system PIN code (default: 0000).
- Press “Done” to confirm or “Back” to cancel.
Checking base station IP address
- Press “Menu”.
- Use arrow keys to reach Settings
> Info.
- Press the “Select” softkey to display the Info page, and browse the screen to find the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway information for your DP75x.
HANDSET SETTINGS
Setting the key lock
To enable the keypad lock
- Press and hold
(pound key) for approximately 2 seconds.
- DP Handset screen will show a “Keypad Locked” message briefly and a key lock icon
will appear.
To disable the keypad lock
- Press and hold
(pound key) for approximately 2 seconds to unlock the keypad.
- DP Handset screen will show a “Keypad Unlocked” message.
Editing the handset’s name
- Press “Menu”.
- Use arrow keys to reach Settings
> Handset Name.
- Enter the desired name and press “Rename“ softkey.
Changing the base PIN
- Press “Menu”.
- Use the arrow keys to reach Settings
> System Settings.
- Enter the current base PIN code (Default is 0000).
- Enter the desired base code PIN.
- Press the “Save” softkey to confirm.
Selecting the Menu Language
- Press “Menu”.
- Use arrow keys to reach Settings
> Phone Language.
- Choose the desired language and press “Select” softkey.
- Press the “Yes” softkey to confirm.
Date and Time
- Press “Menu”.
- Use arrow keys to reach Settings
> Date and time.
- Edit current values in date/time fields (you can change the date/time format using the left and right arrow keys) and then press “Set” softkey.
- Press the “Save” softkey to confirm.
CALL FEATURES
Activate and deactivate handsfree mode
- Press
(Hands-free key) while making a call or on the idle screen to activate..
- Press
(Hands-free key) again to deactivate.
Making External Calls
- Method 1
Using the default outgoing line
- Enter the desired number to dial using the keypad buttons.
- Press
(Dial key) or
(Speaker key) to initiate the call.
Selecting the outgoing line to use
- Enter the desired number to dial using the keypad buttons.
- Press the “Call” softkey.
- Select a line from available lines displayed on the screen to use for dialing out.
- Method 2
- Press
(Dial key) or
(Speaker key).
- Enter the desired number to dial using the keypad buttons.
- Press
(Dial key) or wait for 4 seconds and the call will be initiated automatically.
Making Internal Calls
To make phone calls between handsets registered to the same DP75x Base Station (without the use of a SIP server).
Method 1
- Press
arrow up key) to display the intercom list containing all subscribed handsets.
- Choose the desired handset and press “Select” softkey.
Method 2
- On the idle screen, enter the HS number (from 1 to 5).
- Press
“Intercom” softkey to initiate the call to the specified HS.
Answering Calls
- Press
(Dial Key),
“Answer” softkey or
(Hands-free key) to answer incoming calls.
Ending Calls

Press
(On-hook key) to terminate the call.
Hold and Resume Calls
- During an established call, press
(right softkey) to Hold the call directly, or press the options key (left softkey) followed by the Hold key.
- To resume the call, press
(right softkey) to unhold the call.
Call Transfer
- During an established call, press
(left softkey) to access Options > Transfer. The initial call will be on hold.
- Enter the number or select the handset you want to transfer the call to.
- Press
(Dial key) to complete the transfer.

During an established call, press
(left softkey) to access Options > New call. The initial call will be on hold.

Choose the line and enter the number you want to transfer the call to, then press
(Dial Key).
- Once the second call is established, press Options > Transfer.
3-Way Conference

During an established call, press
(left softkey) to access Options > Conference. The initial call will be on hold.

Enter the number of the second party you want to add to the conference and press
(Dial key).
Mute and UnMute Microphone
- Press
(Mute key) to switch off the microphone during an established call. A mute icon
will be displayed on the screen.
- Press
(Mute key) again to switch the microphone back on.
Activate Call Waiting
- Press “Menu”.
- Use arrow keys to reach Call settings
> Call waiting.
- Select the account for which you want to enable/disable the call waiting feature, and press “Select” softkey.
- Select Enabled and press “Save” to confirm.
Activate Do Not Disturb mode
- Press “Menu”.
- Use arrow keys to reach Call settings
> Do Not Disturb.
- Select the account for which you want to enable the DND feature, and press “Select” softkey.
- Select Enabled and press “Save” to confirm.
Active Call Forward
- Press “Menu”.
- Use arrow keys to reach Call settings
> Call Forward.
- Select the account for which you want to enable/disable the call forward feature and then press “Select” softkey.
- Select the type of call forwarding (all, on busy, or no answer) and enter the destination number, then press the “Save” softkey to confirm.
Direct IP Call
Direct IP calling allows two parties, that is, a handset and another VoIP device, to talk to each other in an ad hoc fashion without a SIP proxy.
Elements necessary to complete a Direct IP Call:
- Both DP72x/DP73x and other VoIP Devices, have public IP addresses, or
- Both DP72x/DP73x and other VoIP Devices are on the same LAN using private IP addresses, or Both DP72x/DP730x and other VoIP Devices can be connected through a router using public or private IP addresses (with necessary port forwarding or DMZ).
Users can perform IP calls using Star code following the below steps:
- Pick up the handset and press Dial key.
- Dial *47 followed by the target IP Address.
Speed Dial
- Press Menu
to bring up the operation menu.
- Access to Shortcut and then to the Speed Dial sub-menu.
- Choose the digit keys (2-9) and press Assign to specify the number (from the shared directory) to be as speed dial. You can press Edit or Clear Entry softkeys to modify/delete a speed dial key.
- Once configured, hold press on the according key to make the speed dial call.
Play Voicemail Messages
- Press “Menu”
to bring up the operation menu.
- Access Voice Mail
and then select Play Message sub-menu.
- Select the account to retrieve your voice messages saved on your voicemail.
